Logan's Story

Logan 2.jfif

Meet Logan and discover the adventures, challenges, health journey, and joyful smiles that inspire our books and help others understand Angelman syndrome.

Logan is a 30-year-old man living with Angelman syndrome. He is nonverbal and communicates using an AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) device. Logan enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring his community, swimming, water activities, bubble, and sharing lots of hugs and kisses.

Through these books, you'll experience Logan's real-life adventures, communication journey, health challenges, and the joyful moments that make his story so special.

At Logan's AAC Adventure, we believe every person deserves the opportunity to communicate, connect, and be understood.

Happy Personalities

Logan has Angelman syndrome, a rare genetic condition. Like many individuals with Angelman syndrome, he has an infectious smile, loves being around people, and brings joy wherever he goes.

A Different Way to Talk

Logan is non-verbal and communicates using his AAC device (speech-generating device). Every button he presses helps him tell us what he wants, how he feels, and what he wants to share with the world.

Pure Connection

Logan reminds us that communication is much more than talking. Smiles, laughter, eye contact, gestures, AAC, and shares experiences all create meaningful connections.

Every Voice Matters

Whether someone communicates with spoken words, an AAC device, signs, gestures, or pictures. Every voice deserves to be heard, respected, and celebrated. Logan reminds us that communication is about connection - not just speech.

Representation matters. When children see Logan using an AAC device in books, they learn that communication looks different for everyone. These stories help build understanding, inclusion, acceptance, and the belief that every voice matters.
